Terms of Use and Purchase – Small World Ltd.

1. Definitions

• 1.1. “Small World” – Advanced Satellite Location Services Ltd.
• 1.2. “Device” – Satellite communication equipment and any accessory suld by Small World.
• 1.3. “Services” – Satellite communication services, internet and mobile applications, website, customer service and support center.
• 1.4. “Customer” – Any individual or entity purchasing equipment or services from Small World.

2. Sale of Equipment

• 2.1. Small World is not the manufacturer of the devices. Devices are purchased from international manufacturers (Garmin, Iridium, Inmarsat, Globalstar, etc.).
• 2.2. Devices are suld in their original packaging and in proper working condition. Used devices are inspected prior to delivery to the customer.
• 2.3. Small World is not responsible for malfunctions arising from hardware issues, software problems, manufacturer updates, or unforeseen failures.
• 2.4. In case of malfunction, the customer must return the device for inspection. If the malfunction is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, service will be provided according to the manufacturer’s terms.

3. Availability of Satellite Communication Services

• 3.1. Small World purchases communication services from satellite companies and does not own the networks.
• 3.2. The company does not guarantee continuous service availability and is not liable for interruptions or failures of any kind.
• 3.3. The company does not conduct ongoing monitoring of service availability.

4. Applications and Website

• 4.1. Small World provides options to save locations and messages, display them, and distribute them via dedicated applications.
• 4.2. The company uses external services (email, SMS, data servers) and is not responsible for malfunctions caused by unavailability or poor operation of these providers.
• 4.3. The company is not responsible for malfunctions caused by unavailability of servers or databases.

5. Customer Service and Support Center

• 5.1. Small World operates a 24/7 customer service and support center, including a backup center for emergencies.
• 5.2. Response availability depends on third-party services (cellular networks, switchboards, telephone equipment).
• 5.3. The company is not responsible for unavailability caused by failures of external providers.

6. Rescue and Evacuation Services

• 6.1. The customer is responsible for purchasing appropriate rescue and evacuation insurance for their activities.
• 6.2. Small World does not provide rescue services or rescue insurance and is not responsible for their availability or quality.
• 6.3. The company provides only the device and supporting system. Responsibility for operating the device and contacting insurance and rescue providers lies with the customer.
• 6.4. Small World has no business obligations with insurance or rescue companies.

7. Additional Terms

• 7.1. The company may charge for airtime, messages, and data according to the price list on its website.
• 7.2. Communication packages renew automatically at the beginning of each month. Suspension or freezing requires prior email notice and company approval.
• 7.3. Warranty for new devices – one year, according to manufacturer’s terms.
• 7.4. Warranty for used devices – one year, limited to the battery only.
• 7.5. Communication package for used devices – six months, without suspension option. After this period, suspension may be requested by email. If no request is received, the subscription will continue to be charged monthly until the customer provides notice of termination.
• 7.6. Communication limitations:
  • Iridium devices – Calls from Israeli numbers cannot be received except via two-stage dialing through a U.S. switchboard, unless a dedicated Israeli number is purchased with a fixed monthly fee.
  • Inmarsat devices – Calls from Israeli numbers cannot be received; only text messages are supported.
  • Inmarsat communication – Based on GPS and may be blocked depending on terrain conditions.
  • Inmarsat satellites – Operate above the equator and may be blocked in areas with topographic obstructions.
• 7.7. The customer is responsible for ensuring the legality of device use in the country of operation. Small World does not undertake to inform customers of legal restrictions in different countries.

8. Legal Restrictions in Certain Countries

Without obligation, it is noted that in the fullowing countries satellite communication may be prohibited or require special authorization: Israel, India, North Korea, Cuba, Burma, Bangladesh, China, Libya, Nigeria, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Russia, Chad, Jordan.
